After School Programs

The Young Women on the Move program meets weekly and currently serves the following schools:

Argentine Middle School

Rosedale Middle School
J.C. Harmon High School
Wyandotte High School
F.L. Schlagle High School

Young women at participating schools are invited to apply for membership in group sessions that meet weekly during school hours. For more information, please contact us. Don't forget to watch our video!

How to Join

Are you a young woman enrolled at one of these schools? Do you ever dream of being somebody special or accomplishing something great with your life? Do you want to learn to believe in yourself and the possibilities for your life, develop a plan and learn how to follow it to accomplish your dreams? If you do, we are looking for you because we want to help you so you can learn to help others! You can help us start a chain reaction. You can change the world - one girl at a time - starting with you!

The program is currently available for young women at the following schools in Kansas City, Kansas USD 500:

F. L. Schlagle High School
Harmon High School
Wyandotte High School
Northwest Middle School
Argentine Middle School
Central Middle School
Rosedale Middle School

Young women enrolled in these schools can join the program by contacting their principal, advocate or school social worker. Parental permission is required for membership in the after-school program.
