After School ProgramsThe Young Women on the Move after-school program meets each Wednesday afternoon at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 1226 Armstrong Avenue, Kansas City, KS. Bus transportation is provided by USD 500. The program at this time serves the following schools:
Young women at Harmon, F.L. Schlagle, and Wyandotte High Schools are invited to apply for membership in group sessions that meet weekly during school hours. For more information, please contact us. Dietetics, and the University of Kansas, Master's Certificate in Community Health and Development, Department of Applied Behavioral Sciences. She is president of Empower for Health Partners, Inc., the founding organization of Young Women on the Move, Inc. Previous positions include assistant dean for external affairs at the KU School of Medicine; director of development for Mackay School of Mines, University of Nevada; chief nutritionist for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; and owner of retail establishments in Columbia, Missouri.
