Each Wednesday, trained social workers and volunteers provide counseling to lead the Young Women on the Move approved curriculum. We meet weekly with both middle and high school groups for one- and three-hour sessions to develop healthy minds, bodies, and spirits.

Through bus transportation provided by the school district, our Young Women are transported safely to our location where they will visit with their friends and enjoy a nutritious snack. Either a staff member or a guest speaker leads the large group teaching sessions, usually themed monthly around one of the elements in our spectrum of healthy living.

Small groups are then led by a social worker or volunteer who coaches them on life skills, goal planning, or other topics pertaining to the month's theme. Yoga, poetry writing, crafts, and scrapbooking are also regularly part of the afternoon. Throughout the week, small group leaders also conduct in-school visits to maintain relationships with both the school staff and our young women, either through small group coaching or individualized counseling.
